In memory of Frederic Marti

It is with great sadness that we share that our friend, colleague, and Managing Director at Traction Levage Frédéric Marti, passed away on November 12th after a period of illness. 

A little over twenty years ago, Frédéric joined Traction Levage. Coming from the world of household appliances, it was quite a challenge for him to become part of the rigorous and demanding industrial sector

Against all odds, our new MD showed how we could quickly adapt to the technical, commercial and human aspects of his position. He learned all the skills to ensure our company’s success, taking over his renowned predecessor Marcel Causan. Years went by when he pursued his career with passion, reselling wire ropes and lifting products. We are sure he thoroughly enjoyed passing on his visions on customer service, which he excelled at. He loved how diverse our activity is and endeavored to make Traction Levage the undisputable leader on the market.

He was our Boss, but he would sit down and discuss with employees at lunch time, or dish up during collective meals at the warehouse. He was and will always be remembered as a great, charismatic and well-respected leader, for anyone who has ever met him. Everything has gone so fast since June, and we could not have imagined we would end up here today. 

We miss Frédéric so much already, but he is leaving us such a legacy, one that we will proudly cherish and honor. 

Moving Forward at Traction Levage

Before Frédéric’s illness, a natural transition of leadership had already begun at Traction Levage. As part of this process, he had appointed Christophe Fonvieille, a long-standing colleague with more than 20 years in the company and most recently Purchasing and Marketing Manager, as his successor.
