The colors of the seals for our Periodic General Inspections
A choice based of the IMO colour system
What is the International Maritime Organisation (IMO)?
The IMO is an organization founded by the United Nations to protect maritime transport and monitor the pollution caused by it. To achieve its objectives, the IMO establishes standards and regulations to better oversee maritime activities at the international level. Among these standards and regulations, the IMO codification was created to harmonize the inspection process of equipment and accessories.
What is the IMO colour system?
The colour system of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) is used by many companies to indicate the year in which the Periodic General Inspection of a lifting device or accessory took place.
This colour system offers numerous advantages for companies:
Quick and visual identification of the condition of lifting equipment.
Better traceability and greater transparency of information.
Compliance with regulations, particularly regarding safety.
Efficiency in planning Periodic General Inspections.
