Magnetic Rope Testing for hydraulic sector

Call on the recognized specialist in the hydrolectric field

For many years, our multiple expertise and product/installation alignment work have made Traction Levage a recognized specialist in the use and maintenance of steel wire ropes employed in hydroelectric environments.

Through these analyses carried out on all types of hydro installations, we have been able to capitalize on our feedback to refine our control procedures.

Leveraging this experience and combining it with our analysis processes (Visual Inspection & MRT) forms an unbeatable tool in the detection of anomalies.

Whether the installations include wire ropes for trash racks, locks, gates, counterweights, valves, shutters, water intakes, cathedral bridges, or others; used under different cadences and load levels, in humid or corrosive environments, magneto-inductive control will be able to guarantee the safety and reliability of all these wire ropes systems.

Our magneto-inductive control devices, compliant with the EN 12927 standard and used by our technicians certified according to the ISO 9712 MIT WR Level II standard, will be able to detect any internal or external anomalies such as broken wires, deformations, or corrosion, making them particularly suitable for assessing the condition of wire ropes subjected to fatigue or corrosion (atmospheric, tidal, or galvanic effects).

The MRT technique can be employed preventively prior to a large-scale maintenance or heavy lifting operation, completely bypassing the common issues of over-greased wire ropes, wire ropes covered in dried grease, or dirt.

Peace of mind in diagnostics and assurance that the wire ropes will perform are arguments provided to any operator wishing to ensure the reliability of their installations in terms of both safety and productivity.
