The POWERTEX Dee Shackle PDSB is a high-strength lifting shackle designed for controlled, in-line load applications in demanding industrial environments. Equipped with a hexagon-head safety bolt, nut, and stainless-steel cotter pin, it provides a secure, mechanically locked connection for overhead lifting and rigging.
The dee shape is ideal for straight-line loading, making it suitable for direct connections to lifting points, chains, and wire rope assemblies where side loading is not intended. Manufactured from quenched and tempered alloy steel and hot-dip galvanized, it is built for reliable daily use in construction, manufacturing, offshore, and heavy maintenance operations.
It complies with EN 13889, AS 2741 (generally), ASME B30.26, and meets the performance requirements of the US Fed. Spec. RR-C-271.
Best used for
- Straight-line lifting applications with direct connections
- Installations where the shackle will remain in place for longer periods
- Installations where vibrations or movement could cause a screw pin to rotate
Not ideal for
- Multi-leg sling configurations or applications with side loading, where a bow shackle may be more suitable.
